In 1999, Michael returned with Sir Edmund Hillary to the Everest region to film Sir Edmund’s humanitarian work in the region.

Over the last 40 years Sir Edmund and his teams, working together with the local people have built 30 schools, 2 hospitals, many health clinics, bridges, and two airstrips in the Everest region.

The Australian Himalayan Foundation, of which Michael is a founding Director, carries on this work today. Read more
